Sergeant Blake was named Air Force Reserve Command's Ground Safety Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for 2008. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in ground safety between Oct. 1, 2007 and Sept. 30, 2008. Sergeant Blake was named the Ground Safety Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for Dover Air Force Base and 22nd Air Force prior to winning at AFRC level. DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Craig W. Duehring, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, visited Dover Air Force Base to talk with Airmen during breakfast at the Patterson Dining Facility Jan. 30. Mr. Duehring also met with 436th and 512th Airlift Wing group commanders and talked with active duty and Reserve Airmen at town halls meetings throughout the day. He answered Airmen's questions ranging from sign-on bonuses to ancillary training to Reserve travel vouchers.
