Recognizing a Patriot

Judy Zaal, with the Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, presents Col. Robert Coupe, Delaware State Police superintendent, with a Patriot Award March 2 at Delware State Police Troop 6. Delaware Army National Guard Capt. Daniel DeFlaviis (right) is a Delaware State Trooper who nominated Coupe for the award for being a being supportive employer of Guard and Reserve members. DeFlaviis serves with Delaware?s 72nd Troop Command. Frank B. Ingraham, Jr., Delaware ESGR chair, and Col. Randal L. Bright, 512th Airlift Wing commander, attended the award presentation. Both Coupe and Zaal are part of the Dover Air Force Base honorary commander program. Coupe served as Bright?s honorary commander from 2010 to 2011 and Zaal is Bright?s honorary commander this year.
