Honorary commanders join forces with military counterparts
DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Col. Alan H. Lerner, 512th Maintenance Group commander, and Tom Jarrett, Cabinet Secretary for Delaware Department of Technology and Information and a former Verizon executive, speak after the honorary commander induction ceremony held at the Landings here Jan. 30. The honorary commander program aids in building relationships between military members and community leaders. The program at Dover Air Force Base began in 1992 and allows community leaders the opportunity to participate in many base functions over the course of their term.
