Extreme makeover
Senior Master Sgt. Bryan Ford, 512th Maintenance Squadron maintenance flight chief, measures the trim for a newly installed door of a home in New Orleans. Sergeant Ford led a team of 16 volunteers from the United Methodist Committee on Relief. The group spent a week rehabilitating a home, which had been damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The residents, an Army retiree and his wife, a Navy civil service retiree, have been living in the gutted home for the past five years. By week's end, the crew had used 10 pounds of joint compound, 50 gallons of paint and 300 feet of trim. They returned the two bathrooms to full operating condition and installed electrical fixtures throughout. (U.S. Air Force photo/Sherry Eierman)
