Honoring the Fallen
Col. Randal L. Bright, 512th Airlift Wing commander, speaks about the importance of Memorial Day to an audience of 135 people, May 31 at the Adams-Simpler-Ware Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6009 Memorial Day Service at Odd Fellows Park in Felton, Del. Originally called Declaration Day, because of ?decorating? the graves of Civil War Veterans, it became a National Holiday in 1971 and re-named Memorial Day. Colonel Bright is responsible for 1,800 Citizen Airmen who are part of the 512th AW, which is the only Air Force Reserve unit in Delaware. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Marnee A.C. Losurdo)
