U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Colin McCready, 712th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron maintainer, inspects the wing of a C-17 Globemaster III during the Liberty Eagle Readiness Exercise at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, July 15, 2022. McCready is one of many maintainers from the 512th and 436th airlift wings who worked together during a simulated deployment to a forward operating base, located on Dover AFB, July 11-15, 2022. The purpose of this exercise was to validate both wings' ability to generate, employ and sustain airpower across the world in a contested and degraded operational environment. Supporting families of the fallen

Construction contractors work on the roof of the new Fisher House here, which is scheduled for completion in late October. Construction began in May on the facility, which will house nine suites and serve as a place for families of the fallen to stay while at Dover Air Force Base attending a dignified transfer of a loved one. In support of the Fisher House Foundation, the 512th Airlift Wing has a team of 21 runners who are participating in the 35th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C, Oct. 31. Over the past four years, the team has raised thousands of dollars for the Fisher House Foundation, a non-profit organization and Combined Federal Campaign charity. The organization assists military members and their family members who are experiencing a medical crisis. There is still time to join the team. For more information, contact Maj. Victor G. Viardo, 326th Airlift Squadron, an e-mail at victor.viardo@us.af.mil. (U.S. Air Force photo/Roland Balik)
