Burning down the house
Fifty 512th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters burnt down a complex of apartments in Franklin, Va., as part of a live fire training event July 10. As part of the training, the firefighters had to search out the cause of and extinguish the fire. They also practiced other techniques, such as using an ax to cut through walls to escape from one room to another, breaking windows to rescue people, or hacking holes in the roof to ventilate the fire.
