Touring Pope Field
Tech. Sgt. Gary Taiclet, an instructor with the 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Formal Training Unit at Pope Field, N.C., explains to a group of Dover, Del., civic leaders how students use a simulated patient as part of their training. The AE FTU is an Air Force Reserve Command 28-day school that provides aeromedical evacuation crewmembers with their basic aircrew qualification for deployments. As part of the 512th Airlift Wing Civic Leader Tour May 26-27, 30 Delaware civic leaders toured the 920th Rescue Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., and the 440th Airlift Wing at Pope Field, N.C.
