Jedvarline, a French-speaking girl who knows only a little English, toured the plane during her one-week stay with the family of 512th Airlift Wing member Pam Jackson. Jackson, the chief of the 512th Financial Management Office, in conjunction with her daughter Meahan Ellwanger hosted the Brooklyn, N.Y., resident as part of Fresh Air Fund, a nonprofit agency which provides New York City children the opportunity to experience rural living with host families across 13 states and Canada.
