Remembering 9/11

"I received a phone call on the night of 9/11 from the Air Force who put me on orders to report to Andrews Air Force Base, Md. I was to provide chaplain assistant support to the chaplains who responded to the Pentagon attack. I worked at the family assistance center in Crystal City, Md., where families came to find out about their missing loved ones. I was an escort. The Sept. 11 attacks continue to impact my life today." - Master Sgt. Stephen Prasser, 512th Airlift Wing chaplain assistant "I was at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Within 24 hours, I was deployed to McGuire AFB, N.J., and then on to Dover AFB Mortuary Affairs.
