Honorary Commander Dr. Martha Hofstetter, Assistant to the Campus Director at Delaware Technical Community College’s Terry Campus, enjoyed the orientation flight April 4, 2012 aboard a C-17 Globemaster II alongside her military counterpart Col. Joan Garbutt, 436th Mission Support Group commander. The honorary commanders of the 436th and 512th Airlift Wings came out to Dover Air Force Base, Del., for a day-long tour including a mission brief by wing commanders, a walk-through of the 436th Operations Support Squadron where they received hands-on experience with vital emergency gear, an orientation flight, a static tour of a C-5M Super Galaxy and a visit to the airlift control tower.
