Blue Hen legacy
Pictured at the entrance of the 709th Airlift Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, Del., is a piece of art depicting a B-17 named "Blue Hen Chick" with a C-5B named "Spirit of the Blue Hen." The Reserve unit has flown both of these aircraft and will continue flying the Blue Hen legacy following the delivery of Dover's 11th C-5M named "Spirit of the Blue Hen," June 21, 2013.
