512th Airlift Wing announces annual award winners

More than 300 512th Airlift Wing Airmen and their guests joined in celebration to honor the best-of-the-best in the wing at the Annual Awards Banquet March 5 in the Dover Downs Rollins Center in Dover, Delaware.
 

Col. D. Scott Durham, 512th Airlift wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Brad E. Ferguson, 512 AW command chief, joined the guest speaker, Wesley College President and retired U.S. Navy Capt. Robert E. Clark II, in presenting the annual award nominees as well as the quarterly award winners with their trophies and plaques.

Twenty-second Air Force and Air Force Reserve Command award winners were also recognized during the evening event.

Wing winners were selected based on their work in areas of leadership, job performance, self-improvement and community involvement.

The 2015 512 AW Annual Award winners are:

Company Grade Officer of the Year - Capt. James Black, 512th Security Forces Squadron

Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year - Senior Master Sgt. Gregory Locke, 512th Civil Engineer Squadron

Noncommissioned Officer of the Year - Staff Sgt. John Nelson, 512 CES

Airman of the Year – Senior Airman Maizel Lacson, 512th Maintenance Squadron

First Sergeant of the Year - Master Sgt. Carrie Huot, 712th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Civilian of the Year – Catherine Florczak, 512th Force Support Squadron
