October UTA delayed Published Oct. 16, 2013 By 512th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- The 512th Airlift Wing's October unit training assembly for 2013 is delayed again due to the lapse in fiscal 2014 appropriations. The original October UTA dates of Oct. 5-6 were previously rescheduled to Oct. 19-20. Billeting reservations for Oct. 19-20 have been cancelled. The Liberty Wing's October UTA is now scheduled for Nov. 16-17. "Although we are having our October UTA duty periods rescheduled to Nov.16-17, I understand this will not work for everyone," said Col. Raymond A. Kozak, 512th AW commander. "Maximum flexibility will be granted by your commanders to reschedule your October duty periods." Reservists who plan to request a reschedule of the Nov. 16-17 UTA are advised to select duty periods between Oct. 31 and Dec. 31 to avoid any excused periods. Any wing members who require billeting for the October UTA, held Nov. 16-17, need to make their own reservation. Those who choose different duty periods between October and December must also arrange their own lodging reservation. The November UTA is still scheduled to occur Nov. 2-3. Reservists who require billeting reservations should follow the routine process for the November 2013 UTA. As a reminder, daylight saving time is at 2 a.m., Nov. 3. If the lack of a continuing resolution or fiscal 2014 appropriations continues, further instructions will be published, including a decision on the November UTA which will be made no later than Oct 29. UTA updates will also be disseminated through the wing's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
