To comply with federal law, the Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center has directed a 100 percent verification audit of every member who claims a dependent for Basic Allowance for Housing purposes, including personnel married to a military member.

For 512th Airlift Wing reservists, the recertification process includes submitting an Air Force Form 594, Application and Authorization to Start, Stop or Change Basic Allowance for Quarters or Dependency Redetermination, and supporting documentation to the 512th AW Reserve Pay Office. Members should leave a wet-inked signed original and a copy of the supporting documentation with their unit for submission to the RPO certifying official.

Acceptable forms of documentation includes marriage licenses, divorce decrees, dependent birth certificates, court orders or notarized child support agreements.

If reservists fail to recertify by June 30, their BAH entitlement will be changed to the without dependent rate.

For more information on the BAH verification project, call Mike Primo, 512th Reserve Pay Section chief, at (302) 677-3435.
