The 512th Airlift Wing donated, and received donations during their recent Unit Training Assembly, the December 6th and 7th, providing canned foods, household goods, and toys to those in need this holiday season.

Operation Homefront, in cooperation with a local retail store, donated more than 5,000 toys to the 512th's Airmen & Family Readiness who then allowed reservists to pick out as many items as they needed for holiday gifts.

Also, the Airman's Attic here opened its doors to service members of all ranks Saturday for one day allowing military members, both enlisted and officer, to donate items to the store and receive free needed goods.

In addition to contributions for reservists in the 512th AW, members from the wing donated time, money and canned food for the inaugural Liberty Wing Food Drive Challenge sponsored by the 512th AW Diversity Partnership and Airmen & Family Readiness. Organizations from the 512th AW competed against each other for the largest amount of food for the challenge. Airmen donated over 300 pounds of food that will be provided to military families in need.
