512th Airlift Wing celebrates ESGR's 50th Anniversary Published July 5, 2022 By Senior Airman Ruben Rios 512th Airlift Wing DOVER AFB, Del. -- The 512th Airlift Wing celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve with June 29, 2022, at the Harvest Ridge Winery, in Marydel, Delaware. The reserve wing from Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, co-hosted the dinner and awards event with the Delaware ESGR. Nearly 50 Citizen Airmen, civic leaders and patriotic supporters dined and celebrated the ESGR’s commitment to reservists and guardsmen since 1972. During the evening affair, attendees learned more about how the ESGR’ advocates mutually for both service members and their employers. They also witnessed several award presentations, including: - Patriot Award Jim Shepherd, Christiana Care, - Seven Seals Award Veronica Aceveda, 512th Airlift Wing, Cristal Brenneman, Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, Zachary Cacicia, 512th AW, Lori James, Office of Governor John Carney, Kate Rohrer, Office of U.S. Senator Chris Coons, Dina Vendetti, CDCC, - Above and Beyond Award Brian Stetina, CDCC, City of Dover, accepted by Hon Robin Christiansen, Mayor of Dover, City of Milford, accepted by Dr. Mark Whitfield, and - James M. Roche Spirit of Volunteerism Award Gene Hebert, ESGR chairman emeritus. The 512th AW commander served as the guest speaker. He addressed the importance of employer engagement through ESGR programs.
