March 15 - Commander gives COVID-19 update

From the 512th Airlift Wing commander regarding wing operations during COVID-19 prevention measures:

I understand our area’s school closures impacts many of our wing members. If you’re affected by this, I encourage you to coordinate your work options, such as telework, leave, and alternate work schedules, through your supervisor and chain of command.

Following DoD’s domestic travel restrictions, I’ve decided to cancel the wing’s official April UTA, but squadron commanders do have the authority to approve rescheduled training.

The local area for 512th reservists in status is the same as the base - the state of Delaware or 50 miles from your residence if you live outside the state.

I know there’s bound to be more questions. Please work those through your chain of command, and we’ll continue working together in taking care of our 512th family.
