La Fave is the new commander of the Air Force Reserve's 326th Airlift Squadron at Dover Air Force Base. Previous assignment: Chief Pilot, 326th Airlift Squadron Time in service: 22 years Commissioning source: Air Force ROTC, Lehigh University Hobbies: Playing Wii Rock Band with my kids, watching my girls sing and dance, and running Why the 326 AS is important to the Air Force mission: As a C-17 squadron, we are a force-enabler; so, first in-last out of the war zone. Since 2001, my outstanding Airmen have flown nearly 800 combat missions and hauled over 74,000 tons of equipment in support of combat operations. Goals: Together with our Team Dover partners, continue to effectively prosecute Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom while growing future Air Force leaders.
