Air Force Assistance Fund campaign underway until May 1

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. --  The 2009 Air Force Assistance Fund campaign is underway until May 1. 

Capt. Jim McCann, 326th Airlift Squadron, is the 512th Airlift Wing representative for the campaign. 

"These are tough economic times, and the organizations this campaign supports assist Air Force members, retirees, reservists, National Guard members and family members with emergency aid, educational needs or help in securing a retirement home for widows or widowers of Airmen who need financial assistance," said Captain McCann. 

The funds help the Air Force Village Foundation, Inc., the Air Force Aid Society, Inc., the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation and the Air Force Enlisted Village, Inc. 

People can contribute cash, check, money order or use payroll deduction, with all AFAF contributions being tax deductible.
