Tops In Blue is coming to Delaware State University Education and Humanities Center Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.

Some of the most-talented Air Force vocalists, musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians and dramatists, known as the Air Force's premiere performing group, will be presenting the 2009 edition of the Tops In Blue show, entitled "To Dream."

During each annual tour, Tops In Blue entertains more than 250,000 military members, their families, and community members, presenting an average of 120 performances at 100 locations worldwide. The showcase is presented throughout the continental United States, Canada, Europe, Central America, Alaska and the Pacific.

"Tops in Blue is the Air Force's premiere entertainment showcase for the entire family, so don't miss this phenomenal musical evening as the men and women in Blue 'wow' you with 90 minutes of non-stop live entertainment," said Maj. Teresa Darrow, 436th Force Support Squadron commander. "It's a show that's sure to please all ages with the best in music, dance and song."

The show is comprised of Airmen who have successfully made it through two auditions to become future Tops In Blue performers. Airmen from any career field can send in an audition video. If they are selected, they will compete for a seat on the Tops In Blue bus at the Air Force Worldwide Talent Contest.

While these competitors strive to be selected for Tops In Blue, they're also competing in one of five individual categories to be crowned the best in the Air Force: male and female vocalist, instrumentalist, and musical and non-musical variety categories. Then from these contestants, a 30-member group is chosen to represent the best of their talent in the Air Force.

The Tops In Blue mission is to provide quality entertainment for the Air Force family. Their performances are for Airmen stationed worldwide at remote and deployed locations, to promote community relations, support recruiting efforts and to serve as ambassadors for America and the Air Force.
