Bowling center attractions to begin 24-hour operations

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. --  The Kingpin Café and Airman's Outpost are scheduled to begin 24-hour operations Feb. 1.

The café and outpost will remain open after the Eagle Lanes Bowling Center closes for the evening. Airmen will use the back entrance but will be allowed to park in the back lot. Also, Airmen will have to furnish their own controllers and games for the Airman's Outpost.

"We're hoping this will be a huge quality of life improvement for our Airmen," Said Lorraine Padgett, 436th Force Support Squadron Eagle Lanes Bowling Center assistant manager. "We have received a lot of positive feedback on this change from the squadrons that run 24-hour operations."

The café will run its full menu during all shifts to provide patrons with quality food at any time.

"We take pride in our service," said Mary Channell, 436th FSS head cashier. "We offer the best quality food, and we make sure that we get it out to the Airmen fast. Running 24-hours will be a challenge but one that we'll meet head on."
