Wing announces Employer Appreciation Day 2010 Published July 11, 2010 By Senior Airman Bhawan Singh 512th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- This year's 512th Airlift Wing Employer Appreciation Day is set for Oct. 2. Wing leadership encourages reservists to invite their civilian employers to this annual event to showcase what their Air Force Reserve employees do on unit training assembly weekends. The civilian employers will have the opportunity to meet with wing leadership, tour work areas, learn more about C-5 Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster planes and get a feel of 512th AW mission. The 512th AW has reservists living in number of different states so civilian employers from Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware are expected to participate. Reservists may register themselves and their civilian employer for Employer Day online here. Alternatively, they can also email the following information to 512aw.pa@us.af.mil by Aug. 20. Employer of the Year nominations Each year, the 512th AW selects an exemplary civilian employer who will be recognized and honored. Reservists who are signed up for EAD are encouraged to nominate their employer by writing a detailed paragraph that outlines their employers outstanding support of their Reserve service and submit it to 512aw.pa@us.af.mil.
