Wing awards banquet tickets now on sale

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. --  The 512th Airlift Wing is holding its annual awards banquet at 6 p.m., March 5 at the Sheraton Hotel in Dover.

Tickets for the award banquet are on sale until Feb 28.

The banquet honors wing members who competed in the categories of civilian, airman, noncommissioned officer, senior noncommissioned officer and company grade officer of the quarter.

"This is a chance for us to come together and recognize our fellow Airmen for a job well done," said Senior Master Sgt. James McGarvey, 512th Security Forces Squadron member and banquet committee chairman. "It's also an event that serves to bolster esprit de corps, as well as offer servicemembers an opportunity just to get out and have a good time."

Tickets cost $35 for ranks E-7 and above and $25 for ranks E-6 and below. They can be purchased through the first sergeants or from Sergeant McGarvey at (302) 677-5246. Checks should be made payable to the 512th AW Dinning Out Committee.

The required uniform for servicemembers attending the awards banquet is semi-formal for enlisted and mess dress for officers. Civilians may wear formal evening wear.
