The Dover Air Force Base Child Development Center held the last of its activities in recognition of Month of the Military Child April 26, when parents joined their children for craft time in their classrooms. They made picture frames using various shaped foam stickers.

The CDC here conducted 11 events throughout the month ranging from a spirit parade and pajama day to a carnival and tree planting.

Military installations have been formally recognizing military kids for their sacrifices and courage since 1986, when April was designated Month of the Military Child by the Defense Secretary.
