Members of the Youth Center participated in a basketball clinic April 11 here, which featured A.J. English, a Delaware native and former National Basketball Association player for the Washington Bullets.

Master Sgt. Alvin Jackson, a 712th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron member, coordinated the clinic.

Jackson is the founder and director of 100% Tobacco-Free Sports, a nonprofit organization which uses sports to promote a tobacco, drug and alcohol free message to local youth.  The organization conducts several sports related events at schools and community centers throughout the year, which is made possible in coordination with the Delaware Health Fund and the American Lung Association of Delaware.
