Col. Arthur Rodi took command of the 512th Mission Support Group during an assumption of command ceremony on September 10, 2017, at the Dover Air Force Base theatre.

Rodi replaces Col. Laura J. Radley who is now assigned to a position with the Air Force Reserve Command.

Presiding over the ceremony was 512th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Craig C. Peters, who spoke to attendees about Rodi's background and what the future will be like for the mission support group.

“We are excited for Col. Rodi’s contributions and what he can bring to our wing to help make us that much better,” said Peters.

Rodi, who was previously enlisted, reached the rank of chief master sergeant before commissioning in 1998. He comes to the 512th AW from March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County, Calif., where he was commander of the 452nd Mission Support Group.

“Not only has he excelled on the enlisted side but he brings a deep background in the whole mission support group arena,” said Peters.

In response to Peter's remarks, Rodi spoke about the opportunities to work alongside fellow 512th Airmen and the Dover community.

“Today, as the new 512th Mission Support Group commander, I look forward to working with my fellow group commanders, our team partners, community leaders and the men and women on this installation to enhance the 512th’s mission,” said Rodi.
