Meet the new Liberty Wing commander

On June 10th, 2017, Colonel Craig C. Peters will be the Commander of the 512th Airlift Wing, an Air Force Reserve Command associate wing located at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. He is the senior officer responsible for the 1,500+ person organization, which supports Air Mobility Command’s worldwide airlift mission, operating C-5M Super Galaxy and C-17A Globemaster III aircraft.

Colonel Peters began his Air Force career in 1984. He served over six years as an enlisted electronic warfare technician prior to earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Anna Maria College, and attending Undergraduate Pilot Training. The Colonel has held key leadership positions as squadron operations and training officer, operations group commander, wing commander, and Deputy Director of Mobility Forces. Additionally, he has held key positions on the Numbered Air Force, and HQ AFRC staffs. Colonel Peters is a command pilot with more than 7,000 hours, including more than 290 combat flying hours.
