Faithful to a proud heritage
Elias Watson, six year-old son of Lt. Col. Rick Watson, a HH-60 Pave Hawk pilot with the 210th Rescue Squadron, Alaska Air National Guard, closely examines a small-scale print of the 84th National Guard Bureau's Heritage Painting which was unveiled 31 Jan. Lt. Col. Watson was a pilot on the mission to support in the rescue and recovery efforts of the tragic crash that took the life of the late U.S. Senator Ted Stevens on Aug. 9, 2010. Because of the coordination and efforts of the rescue squadrons, four of the plane’s passengers survived the crash.
