Years to Remember
Pictured right is Lt. Col. James Methven, a retired 512th Airlift Wing reservist and World War II veteran, who celebrated his 90th birthday Feb. 25. The then 24-year-old, pictured left, joined the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1942, transferred to the Reserve in 1947 and retired from the Liberty Wing in 1977. Colonel Methven's daughter, Karen Kissane of Venice, Fla., approached the 512th Airlift Wing about recognizing him on the occasion of his 90th birthday. (U.S. Air Force photo)
