DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. – Dover AFB's first C-17 Globemaster III, scheduled to arrive here June 4, rolled out of the paint hangar in Long Beach, Calif., April 18 with its new Dover tail flash. The C-17 is the first of 13 aircraft the base is scheduled to receive over the course of two years. The base will keep 18 of its original 36 C-5s. Air Force Reserve Command’s 512th Airlift Wing will fly both kinds of aircraft. The wing's 326th Airlift Squadron will take on the C-17 mission. Its sister squadron, the 709th AS, will continue to fly the C-5. (U.S. Air Force photo)
