After the long walk
DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del.- Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Ford (right), 512th Maintenance Squadron, congratulates Tech. Sgt. Alfonso Torres, 436th Maintenance Squadron, for his participation in the 3rd Annual Base 2 Base March, May 20-21. The march is a 47-mile walk from the Delaware Air National Guard Base in New Castle to the base flag pole here. The purpose of the march is to raise funds for the United Service Organizations Delaware and show support for the sacrifices deployed servicemembers make on a daily basis. Due to work requirements, Chief Ford walked the first eight miles of the march. He continued his support by monitoring the safety and well being of the marchers who finished the trek.
