Liberty Wing prepares for flu season
Maj. Wanda Pennington, 512th Aerospace Medicine Squadron assistant chief of nursing, administers a flu immunization at the base pharmacy Nov. 6, 2010. The 512th Airlift Wing dispenses the flu vaccination yearly in an attempt to ward off the contagious respiratory illness that can cause mild to severe illness, at times leading to death. Major Pennington functions as a clinical coordinator for the student health center at Delaware State University, Del., in her civilian life.(U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Marnee A.C.
