Remembering 9/11
"I was driving around taking care of errands when I got the call from my daughter's school that I needed to go pick her up. I walked into the front office and the principal, who is a friend of mine, said we needed to pray and pulled me into his office. I still had no clue what was going on. I bowed my head while he prayed for the families and the people who were victims of the terrorist activity and when he was done, I asked, 'What is going on?' That's when he turned on the TV. [...] The tragedy caused me to love my family, freedoms and country even more, and motivated me to continue my commitment in the Reserve and downline deployment." - Senior Master Sgt. Ara Shishmanian, 46th Aerial Port Squadron
