6/11/2012 - DOVER AIR FORCE BASE -- More than 20 cadets from Delaware Military Academy in Wilmington visited here Saturday to learn about the base's missions.
The teens, all freshman or sophomore Junior ROTC members, flew aboard a C-17 Globemaster III operated by 512th Airlift Wing reservists and learned about the reserve unit's partnership with its active-duty counterpart, the 436th Airlift Wing.
Aircrew members were: Maj. Ben Lasher, the aircraft commander; pilot Lt. Col. Jay Miller; pilot 1st Lt. Chris Blevins; and Tech Sgts. Matt Burke and Robert Stevralia, loadmasters.
